I've been so excited to read Adryan's story in Bite Marks by Jenika Snow。 He has made a couple of appearances as the uncle to the Scottish Lycan/Vampire clan in some of the previous Lycan series books。 I knew he was hot， maybe a little disturbed but not as evil as he portrayed。Kayla is a college student who lives as two sides。 One side is a good girl who studies hard， the second is a bad girl who dances and drinks。 She has no family and doesn't feel close to anyone。 She is a bit of a loner even I've been so excited to read Adryan's story in Bite Marks by Jenika Snow。 He has made a couple of appearances as the uncle to the Scottish Lycan/Vampire clan in some of the previous Lycan series books。 I knew he was hot， maybe a little disturbed but not as evil as he portrayed。Kayla is a college student who lives as two sides。 One side is a good girl who studies hard， the second is a bad girl who dances and drinks。 She has no family and doesn't feel close to anyone。 She is a bit of a loner even with friends。 Everything changes for both Kayla and Adryan when she walks into his club for the first time。 He knows she is his and he wants to put his bite marks on her。 He wants all males to know to stay away。 This book is so hot and yummy！ A great addition to the series。 。。。more

UniqueWhat a great read！ Jenika did a fantastic job creating a psych vampire！ He was very believable。 This is my first read in the series， and I had no issues following the storyline。 Time to go back and read the four other books as I wait for book six！

I've only read the first book in the series and I don't think it hampered my enjoyment。 There is an ongoing storyline throughout， but its very simple the twists and turns are super obvious so u can catch up easily enough。All in all a fast paced， simple read that was exactly what I needed to get out of my book slump。 I appreciate just how possessive and territorial the alpha male was。 I've only read the first book in the series and I don't think it hampered my enjoyment。 There is an ongoing storyline throughout， but its very simple the twists and turns are super obvious so u can catch up easily enough。All in all a fast paced， simple read that was exactly what I needed to get out of my book slump。 I appreciate just how possessive and territorial the alpha male was。 。。。more

Once again I really want to love the story， and I do like it， but there's just too many errors。 The ones that grate my nerves the most are plot errors: in this volume on pg 146 the female lead gets dressed and goes down to meet her kidnapper， then minutes later she tries to run from him and she's being chased down she's back in her pajamas。Well， it does take a little over halfway for them to get to their first sexual scene， and all I have to say is you really need to enjoy superlatively arrogant Once again I really want to love the story， and I do like it， but there's just too many errors。 The ones that grate my nerves the most are plot errors: in this volume on pg 146 the female lead gets dressed and goes down to meet her kidnapper， then minutes later she tries to run from him and she's being chased down she's back in her pajamas。Well， it does take a little over halfway for them to get to their first sexual scene， and all I have to say is you really need to enjoy superlatively arrogant males， with an insecure bit of masochism to get into this one。 Secondarily they talk an awful lot about all the depraved things he wants to do to her-- and the female lead in turn talks about all the depraved things she wants to be done to her， it's brought up repeatedly on both fronts -- and when they finally start having sex there is a lot of dirty talk， and he is not gentle， but this doesn't stray into the BDSM genre as series readers might have expected from mention of Adryan's sex clubs in previous books。 While the sexual encounters are not what I would call making love or gentle， they are not nearly as risque as the buildup leads to believe。 Now， I don't need super kinky I don't need sadism or masochism， in fact I don't like either， however it was rather anticlimactic after the build-up。I agree with other reviewers who said Adryan talks about what a badass he is all the time， and how dangerous he is， and it kind of takes away from the air of that danger， in fact it makes him seem desperate for approval almost。 I found all of Adryan's posturing to be more of a turnoff and a distraction from true strength and depravity than a buildup for it。Besides the plot error mentioned above and a few other typographical errors it wasn't as error riddled as some previous volumes。 So much time was spent building up to the first sexual encounter， that there wasn't a lot of room left in the book for other plot and the last half seemed rather rushed。 For my part， I could have used a bit more character development for Adryan's violent nature through the eyes of Adrian's peers and through our female lead's experiences。 There wasn't much in the way of her seeing him in action to justify his brutal reputation （at least until the rescue scene）， and most of his reputation was from him running his own mouth。 I'd rather see it than be told about it， in other words。Overall it was a diverting read and it goes quickly。 I enjoyed it， but I didn't feel the deep connection between the two lead characters that I've gotten from other authors， but this is a fair enough volume I could give it two and a half stars。 The most emotional moment in the book for me was when they were fighting the true villains to free the captives and Adryan's nephew was injured。 The cliffhanger ending that introduces the next book was a bit dark for me， and had a bit too much of a rapey kind of feel even though the attempt was made to walk that back， the fact that it is repeatedly mentioned that the group regularly does that sort of thing 。 。 。 I just don't know if I can head that direction。 If an author really feels the need to bring up rape as a plot device， I can't tolerate the male lead doing that start a romance; I cannot stand a lot of detail （I'd rather it be mentioned as a past event that occurred but not have it detailed or outlined first-hand， e。g given action detail to）; and I REALLY need everyone who perpetrated the sexual assault to suffer horrifically and backslash or be eliminated in painful ways for being the filth that would take something without consent that should be freely given， killing the soul in a way that nothing else really does。 Just saying there needs to be some serious justice and it needs to be in kind。 。。。more

One， this is not the author for me， so take this with a grain of salt。 Two， this was not good。 Long， drawn out， repetitive， frequent contradictions， very little real connection between the couple。 This is a dark paranormal with a lot of violence and torture， including for a female that is a main character in another book。

OH MY GOD。 I have been waiting for this book for what feels like forever。 Ever since Adryan was introduced he captivated me。 It astounds me how accurate sounding his POVs were - it felt powerful and cold and I was lost in it。 This story did not disappoint and I DEVOURED it。 I didn’t want it to end。 Perfection。

It took me a long while to get into this one。 Just for the fact that the main character is a vampire not the storyline。 I have only ever read one of Jenika Snow’s books before this one and I liked it。 I believe it was the first book of this series sometime this summer。 I’m gonna be honest， I don’t think this book was for me。 Adryan， a very powerful and self-confident Vampire， finally finds his Coveted Female in one of his clubs。 Kayla， a human， is a little wary and hesitant when it comes to Adry It took me a long while to get into this one。 Just for the fact that the main character is a vampire not the storyline。 I have only ever read one of Jenika Snow’s books before this one and I liked it。 I believe it was the first book of this series sometime this summer。 I’m gonna be honest， I don’t think this book was for me。 Adryan， a very powerful and self-confident Vampire， finally finds his Coveted Female in one of his clubs。 Kayla， a human， is a little wary and hesitant when it comes to Adryan。 Her subconscious knows that he is safe and craves him right back。 Adryan gives her what is his definition of space before snatching her away into his mansion。 The Assembly， an organization set to unaliving Otherworlders have learned that Kayla is his mate and have come for her。One of the aspects of this book that I appreciated was how accepting Kayla was about her feelings and about Adryan and his world。 She did resist quite a bit in the beginning but she chose not to deny herself her feelings and I really liked that。 I liked that Kayla controlled the speed of their romance and that Adryan sort of followed her lead。 I also really liked how much she accepted Adryan for who and what he was。 She didn’t try to soften his ways。 Her line “Show me how much the villain can be the hero of his own story。” is my favourite line out of the book （followed by “Who do I need to kill？” lol）。This was an ARC review。 。。。more

Ooohhhh！ I really liked this story。 Kayla is quickly brought into Adryan’s world。 Adryan is not a nice guy。 This story is gritty and at times gruesome。 Super steamy。 I loved how long this story is， much longer than normal for this author。 I hope to see more in this world。 HEA。
